One of the prominent figures in Christian music in the last 5 years, singer/songwriter Nichole Nordeman has not only won 2 Dove Awards for "Female Artist of the Year," but has also used her songs, with there haunting melodies and penetrating lyrics, to win the hearts of many fans across the nation.
Nichole Nordeman's Life
Nichole was raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado and got her start playing piano at her home church. It wasn't until a competition with the Gospel Music Association where she was discovered by a producer. She married Errol Ingram and the couple now have a boy, born in 2003, Charlie Thomas.

Nordeman has released 4 CDs, a live CD, and, most recently, a "Best of" collection.
Wide Eyed, released in 1998 boasts great songs like the title track, "To Know You," about a deeper search for knowin Christ, and "Is It Any Wonder" about the inevitable plight of young people in this world with the media pouring on the pressure.
Her second offering was This Mystery. included many of her patented piano-based songs, like "Tremble," reminding the world of the sacred nature of God, "Home," reminding Christians that God prefers inclusion to exclusion, and a cover on the Stevie Wonder song, "As."
Following the great success of This Mystery, came the even more successful Woven and Spun. Here she found hits like "Holy," "Mercies Are New," and "Even Then." More than any of her other albums, Woven and Spun pushed her on to popularity and becoming a household name.
In 2005, two years after the birth of her son, she released Brave, a more rhythmically driven and upbeat release compared to her others, but with the same poignant lyrics as her other offerings.
Finally, she releasd her best of collection, titled Recollection, with two new songs "Sunrise" and "Finally Free." Though it has been 2 years since the release of Recollection and 4 years since the release of Brave, fans are holding out hope that a new release from Nordeman will be coming soon.
Nichole Nordeman on Tour
Nordeman toured on her own with This Mystery, Woven and Spun, and Brave, going to various churches across the country, packing out sanctuaries with loving fans. In 2008, she also toured with Casting Crowns in their Lifesong tour.
